Happy New Year from H.I.S. HOME for Children. How about starting off the new year by helping us to feed these babies at H.I.S.!

Julie's next planned delivery will be in February of 2012. 

Additionally, while every penny donated goes towards formula, Julie pays the cost of the plane tickets for the quarterly trips.  If you have frequent flyer miles from either Delta or American Airlines that you would consider donating to Julie, please contact Julie at julie@hishomeforchildren.com.    

In Haiti it is often physically and financially difficult to get some of the most basic things that are used to care for the health and welfare of children, things such as cloth diapers, shampoo, milk and baby formula.  Too often we may take for granted the things we have available to us by running down to the local grocery store.

Since 2007, Haiti Orphan Fund, a local New England fundraising group, has been helping to rally friends and families to provide HIS Home for Children a significant donation of needed baby formula 3-4 times a year.  Haiti Orphan Fund has an amazing opportunity to deliver this formula to His Home for Children across the ocean through a generous ongoing donation of an anonymous organization.

There is always a need for powdered infant formula as babies in Haiti are literally starving due to lack of food, and while formula, as an item that is necessary for orphans, it is also significantly more costly in Haiti.

The preferred brand is Sams Club regular milk formula, or Wal-Mart powdered soy.

A $20.00 donation will purchase 1 can (3 lbs) of formula, and 3 lbs of formula has the ability to provide food & nourishment to a child for almost 2 weeks!

If you would like to donate to this worthy cause to help the children of Haiti, you can purchase powdered formula at Sams club or WALMART and send those donations to the Haiti Orphan Fund address (see Contact information below). You may also make a direct donation by check payable to H.I.S. Home for Children "Milk Money", or you can provide a Sams club / Wal-Mart gift cards.

Donations sent to the Haiti Orphan Fund Formula drive are tax-deductible and are used to support HIS Home For Children, an organization that is recognized as a non-profit publicly funded charity and maintains 501(3)c status.
