In the aftermath of the devastating 2010 earthquake in Haiti, God brought to the attention of H.I.S. Home for Children the needs of the children who had lost their families. In July of 2010, in response to the movement of the Spirit in Chris' heart, the Board of Trustees opened a third home in Port au Prince named the H.I.S. Home ER (Earthquake Relief).

The ER is now home to up to 29 girls who were identified as "at risk". Many of these girls have been brought to the ER from the post earthquake tent camps, where they were living in terrible conditions ranging from slavery to severe abuse. A number of the girls are currently pregnant as well. They range in age from 8 to 16 years old. Most are not available for adoption.

The purpose of the ER is to provide shelter, food, medical help, healing and most importantly, Jesus, for these young ladies who have been through so much. The girls attend Haitian Christian school, and H.I.S. Home has partnered with Mission of Tears and WAR International to provide vocational training and life training for these young ladies who will need to learn a trade or skill to give them a future in Haiti.

The girls in the ER are available for sponsorship opportunities as well. Please consider partnering with us to give a future for these beautiful young ladies.
